Staffmark Group is hiring a Class A Tractor Trailer Driver in Harvard, IL. The role pays $35.00 per hour with a Sunday to Friday schedule and variable start times based on the first delivery appointment.

Routes may require 1–3 overnight stays per week, including same-day returns. You will transport hardware and building supplies to retail locations, using lift gates and pallet jacks, while upholding safety and DOT rules.

Qualificações

• Minimum 9 months of recent Class A tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Experience handling touch freight preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and professionally in customer-facing environments.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required.

• Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer with a 53-foot dry van.
• Deliver hardware and building supply products to retail store locations.

• Unload freight, including PVC pipe, odd-shaped items, and other hardware products.
• Navigate tight delivery locations that may require backing into small lots or street-side unloading.
• Build positive relationships with store managers and owners through professional customer service.
• Report delivery issues promptly to dispatch for resolution.
• Complete deliveries safely while following DOT regulations and company procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, and maneuver freight using a manual pallet jack.
• Comfortable performing touch-freight deliveries and hand unloading as needed.

Driving Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)
• Ability to safely operate day cabs and sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions.
