Great Lakes Wine & Spirits, Michigan's largest alcohol beverage wholesaler, is seeking a Night Shuttle Driver based in Grand Rapids to move product between our depot and cross-docks across Michigan. The role requires DOT compliance, pre/post trip inspections, unloading, staging, and operating pallet jacks and hi-lo equipment.

This full-time position offers $31.32 per hour, weekend coverage as needed, quarterly bonuses, vacation and holidays, plus medical/dental/vision, life and disability

Qualifications

• CDL A license with airbrake endorsement required.
• Must have Hi-Lo and Pallet Jack experience.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Willingness to work independently with direction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product with tractor/trailer between Grand Rapids depot and cross-docks across Michigan.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and DOT/HOS compliance.
• Unload product at cross-docks and assist in staging.
• Operate pallet jacks and hi-lo equipment; cover loads to other depots.

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits continues to grow as we seek a Night Shuttle Driver for our warehouse depots inGrand Rapids.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Shuttle Driver will be delivering product with a tractor/trailer between our Grand Rapids depot to cross docks located throughout Michigan. These locations include but are not limited to Saginaw, Highland Park, Detroit, Kalamazoo, Gaylord and Traverse City. Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform pre/post trip inspections
• Follow all D.O.T. and State regulated laws including HOS and ELD compliance
• Unload product at cross-docks
• Assist in separating and staging product
• Operate power and manual pallet jacks
• Operate hi-lo equipment
• Perform clean-up of area as needed
• Take loads to other depots to cover other drivers
• Other tasks as assigned by supervision

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position working Sunday through Thursday with start times varying between 9 P.M and 12 A.M. Start times may fluctuate and occasional Fridays may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The Shuttle Driver will be on the road in all weather conditions. This position is also physically demanding in nature, separating and loading cases, and requires the Delivery Associate to occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• 21 years of age and older
• Chauffer and CDL A license with airbrake endorsement
• Hi-Lo and Pallet Jack experience
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Willingness to take direction and work independently
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
• Acceptable driving record

Additional Requirements

• Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
• Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.
• Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
• Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.

A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required for this position. All applicants will be subject to a driving record check as part of the interview process.
