Job summary

Robinson Transportation Inc is seeking a passionate Class A Route Driver to join our team in Stockton, California. This full-time position involves operating tractor/trailer/forklift combinations on local routes in the Central Valley and Bay Area while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience. Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential.

About the Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic drivers who are passionate about delivering exceptional service while ensuring safety and efficiency on the road. Currently, we are hiring for a full-time year round Class A Route Driver position. Local routes in Central Valley and Bay Area operating tractor/flatbed/forklift combination. Driver home daily. Work schedule is Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate tractor/trailer/forklift combination to load and transport material in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and security.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance driving skills.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed.
