Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Byhalia, Mississippi. The role offers generous pay and benefits, with weekly pay, sign-on bonus, and guaranteed weekly earnings.

You will operate well-maintained, assigned sleeper tractors hauling dry van freight across designated routes and home for resets. Expect paid training, medical/dental/vision coverage after 30 days, PTO from day 1 (up to 80 hours first year), uniforms and boot allowances, a 401(k) with company match after one

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Experience: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test and pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
