$5000 sign-on bonus

Sick leave: 56 hours

Observed Holidays: 11 days

Vacation: 15 days

Schedule: Monday - Friday only. Average of 2-3 overnights per week.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials from the customer site to designated sites using various waste-carrying equipment. Ensures compliance with DOT, EPA, state, and local regulations, and maintains proper documentation and permits.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily inspections of vehicle and trailer for safety and equipment integrity.
2. Review shipment records, manifests, labels, and loading integrity before transport.
3. Ensure all DOT requirements and paperwork are current and valid.
4. Communicate with customers regarding load conditions and paperwork.
5. Report any violations or accidents to the supervisor.
6. Assist with loading and unloading materials.
7. Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior commercial driving experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Customer service-oriented.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat (H) endorsement.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferred.
