Job summary

Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Inc. (EMMI) is seeking a skilled equipment operator to safely operate pump trucks, roll-off trucks and dump trailers at our facilities. The role includes basic maintenance, record keeping and adhering to safety practices while moving heavy loads as required.

Must be capable of occasional out‑of‑town travel and lifting up to 100 pounds. This is a hands‑on position for a well‑rounded technician in a fast‑paced utility maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the operating requirements of equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable safety measures and precautions to operate the equipment.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, ordinances and rules involved in equipment operation.
• Some knowledge of the maintenance requirements of the equipment to which assigned.
• Ability to learn to operate all assigned equipment in a skilled manner, safely and according to applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to detect needed repairs and to make necessary adjustments. Ability to maintain daily records
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and customers

Responsibilities

• Operation pump trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trailers.
• Being capable to move hoses and pumps and other auxiliary equipment required to perform duties
• Weights between 50 pounds and 100 pounds
• Basic maintenance and repairs to all equipment
• Flexible schedule
• Flexibility to work out of town for few days at a time
