Schwing Bioset, Inc. (headquartered in Somerset, WI) is a pioneer in developing high performance, material handling solutions dedicated to serving the wastewater, mining, and industrial markets with specialized products and engineered solutions. Our products are presently installed in a wide variety of custom engineered and highly specialized applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, power plants, dredging, refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants in both US and international markets.

SBI is seeking an experienced full-time Class A or B Welder in our Somerset, WI location. Starting pay is dependent on qualifications and experience. Hours approx 1pm-11pm M-Th.

Essential Functions:

  1. Reads blueprints and drawings to take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  2. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  3. Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  4. Performs complex wire, stick, gas, and heliarc welding on various operations.
  5. Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
  6. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
  7. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  8. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
  9. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  10. Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies, procedures, and work rules.

Qualifications:

  1. Class A or B Certification.
  2. At least 1 year welding experience.
  3. Experience in TIG, MIG, and MMA techniques.
  4. Experience with electrical or manual tools (saws, calipers, squares, etc).
  5. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  6. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.

Supporting Qualifications:

  1. Must be flexible to work extra hours when needed.
  2. Deftness and attention to detail.
  3. Able to adapt quickly to changing work environment and hours.
  4. Must have High School Diploma.
  5. Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
  6. Repetitive hand movement, reach with both hands and bend as necessary while standing for long periods of time.

Pay depending on experience.
