Job Description

Catts Construction is currently seeking qualified candidates with a Class A (preferred) or B CDL to join our team!

The driver will operate a truck equipped with a dump body to transport and dump bulk materials, performing the following duties:

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Drive truck to destination
• Operate cranks and levers to dump contents of bed and tilt body
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, and all fluids; perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain the condition of the vehicle, keeping the truck clean and in good working order
• Inspect loaded materials for correctness and security; review shipping documents for accuracy
• Ensure DOT compliance at all times; maintain a clean driving record
• Work up to 16 hours a day as business demands

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least three (3) years of experience driving a dump truck
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Class A CDL preferred; Class B CDL accepted with current DOT medical card
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work in diverse locations, which may change daily
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
• Reliable transportation to work
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times
• Punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction
