Job summary

Kimble Companies is seeking a skilled CDL Class A truck driver to haul and operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers. You will follow safety protocols and excavate utilities/drains as required, supporting construction and mining projects.

The role requires at least 2 years of CDL experience, physical fitness to lift 75 lbs, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Equal opportunity employer with strong safety culture and benefits.

Qualifications

  • CDL Class A required.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission truck.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 2 years CDL driving experience.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background/MVR checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment safely to move, load, and grade earth and materials.
  • Maintain and repair roadways as needed and read blueprints or designs for job requirements.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks, fueling, lubrication, and post-trip inspections.
  • Comply with OSHA, DOT, local laws, and Kimble policies while driving and operating equipment.
  • Maintain route sheets and driver logs; report accidents or issues to supervisors.
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings and trainings.

Job description

This position will haul and operate machinery such as excavator, bulldozers, backhoes, and loader, skid steer. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others. Excavate utilities and drains and remove soil, rocks, and debris from construction sites or mining areas as per project requirements.

Minimum qualifications
  • Valid Class A driver's license
  • Ability to operate truck with a manual transmission
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 2 years CDL truck driving experience
  • Previous experience operating a service rig
  • Must be physically fit and able to climb and work at heights
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather
  • Ability to lift in excess of 75lbs
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle records check
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction.
  • Operate heavy equipment to assist in the maintenance and repair of roadways.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements, all local, state and federal laws and Kimble policies.
  • Perform pre-and post-trip inspection of the vehicle, and document/report any mechanical or safety issues to supervisors.
  • Safely maneuver vehicle in residential and commercial environments and navigate high traffic areas.
  • Immediately notifies Supervisor of accidents, injuries, or property damage
  • Maintains and updates route sheets and driver logs
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings, information sessions, and trainings.
