Job summary

Convoy Supply Inc in Spokane is seeking a Class A long-haul driver to join our growing team. You will handle scheduled deliveries and pickups along the Spokane, WA to Portland, OR route, with home every weekend.

We value safety, teamwork and reliable service. The role requires a valid Class A license, clean driving record, and ability to work outdoors in all weather, with occasional long hours.

Qualifications

• Class A license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to operate manual transmission.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Perform and log daily truck and/or trailer inspections before departure and end of the day.
• Document the freight’s condition before departure and proof of delivery.
• Log hours of service, distance driven, rest stop durations, all fuel, and expenses.
• Communicate any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to dispatch.
• Load and unload materials.
• Ensure load securement, including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport.
• Match shipments to sales invoices and inventorying loads.
• Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency, and customer service.
• Comply with Federal (FMCSA) and State (DOT) trucking rules and regulations Job

Requirements

• Passionate about excellent service & teamwork
• Prefer a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
• Dedicated to safety, on and off the road
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Class A Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract
• Experience in the construction/roofing business is an asset
• Ability to drive trucks with a manual transmission
• Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
• Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, and lifting a maximum of 100 lbs.
• The ability to work long, irregular hours and remain focused throughout
• Pride in being on time, self-sufficient, and able to provide knowledgeable, excellent customer service
• Knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transport industry
• Read and write in English, spoken Spanish is an asset
