Job description

Position

Responsible for planning and executing delivery activities, preparing delivery loads, following planned delivery routes, and assisting with merchandise installations or returns, unloading, installing, and checking appliances and store equipment. Also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and standard of delivery vehicles, observing safety procedures regarding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hazmat, and power equipment tools. Maintain DOT and CDL certifications and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

1. Availability to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings any day of the week.
2. Physical ability to move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise.
3. Physical capacity to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Valid Class A or B license with air brake endorsement.
2. Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
3. Minimum age of 21 years.

Preferred Qualifications

1. At least 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading vehicles.
2. At least 1 year experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school.
3. At least 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
