Job description

Class A HAZMAT Truck Driver / Equipment Operator – Clean Harbors – Baltimore, MD

Hourly Range: $27.00 - $30.00.

Travel/On‑Call/Emergency Response – drivers must be available on a rotating basis for emergency response and on‑call duties.

All new hires must attend a two‑week training academy. Travel expenses are paid by the company and a per diem is provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate ClassA trucks, vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll‑offs at customer sites.
• Perform loading and unloading of trucks, including manual labor on site as required.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports.
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Observe company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Assist field laborers when needed; work in a team atmosphere.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid ClassA CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must use various mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical functions as required by the job.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination as required.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29CFR1910.34), employees wearing respirators must meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial driver experience.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Previous manual labor experience.
