Job summary

Zeeco in Broken Arrow, OK is hiring a Class A Fitter/Welder to fit-up and weld carbon steel and stainless assemblies per WPS and work instructions, ensuring weld quality and passing post-weld tests. The role requires 8+ years of welding experience and proficiency in multiple processes, plus blueprint reading and a strong safety mindset.

Must pass 3G MIG/fluxcore and 6G TIG tests, maintain equipment, and work well in a team with attention to HSE standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of advanced welding experience or equivalent.
• Skilled in at least 3 welding processes: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or saw.
• Must pass a 3G plate test in MIG/fluxcore.
• Must pass a 6G TIG with 1/2" schedule 160 pipe.
• Must demonstrate code welding quality with API, B31.3, UW51, UW52, B1.1, STS, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read measuring tools and use fixtures.
• Experience with setup, layout, blueprint reading, weld symbols, and joint configurations.
• Petrochemical industry experience preferred.
• Must be a skilled fitter with verifiable experience.
• Must pass a written fitter test.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Fit-up and weld carbon steel and stainless assemblies per WPS and work instructions.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and supplies in safe order.
• Work effectively in a team and maintain a clean work area.
• Uphold HSE compliance including PPE and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with peers to meet post-weld testing criteria and quality targets.
