Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, a leader in heavy highway and transportation construction, seeks an equipment operator to maintain and operate trucks and related equipment on our sites.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, safe operation, and active participation in safety meetings. You will work flexible hours (days/nights/weekends) and must pass DOT drug tests and background checks. A valid Class A or B license is required.

Qualifications

• Last 10 years of Work History on application
• 12+ months driving experience in construction
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Experience with heavy trucks and related equipment (End dump, Belly dump, Tandem, Flow Boy, Super dump)
• Off highway driving experience in construction sites
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check (TXDOT physical)
• Maintain current State issued Class A or B driver's license
• Know and adhere to DOT rules and regulations
• MVR must meet company and DOT standards
• Know how to secure heavy/oversized loads
• Authorized to work in United States (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Be a key team member contributing to Austin Bridge & Road's success
• Attend daily safety meetings
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Work hours may include days, nights, and weekends
• Weather conditions may be hot or cold
• Other duties as assigned
