Job summary

Handy Distribution is seeking a Material Handler/Delivery Driver to perform warehouse duties and occasional driver routes. You will operate sit down and standup forklifts, handle shipping/receiving, restock, pick orders and assist with loading/unloading trucks.

Candidate must hold a CDL (Class A or B) and be DOT certified, with strong safety, accuracy and multitasking skills. This role is based in a warehouse environment with both indoor and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to complete certification and be licensed to operate forklift and stay up to date with changes.
• Must have current driver’s license and be DOT certified with CDL Class A or B.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to destination delivering goods accurately and on time.
• Collects signatures for goods delivered and handles COD/cash where required.
• Maintains driver logs, trip reports, fuel/toll tickets and vehicle condition reports.
• Operates truck safely, adheres to DOT regulations and reports safety violations.
• Inspects tires, lights, brakes, fluids and performs pre-trip inspections.
• Loads/unloads materials, palletizes, and stacks products in warehouse.
• Uses WMS RF scanner to verify items and quantities, and documents variances.
