Job summary

Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is seeking driven individuals to join its Driver Trainee program in New Berlin, WI. The program provides paid CDL Class A training through an approved partner school, with a clear path from trainee to licensed driver.

No prior CDL or trucking experience is required, and benefits begin on day one. You will complete four phases—from application and training to apprenticeship and full driver status—while earning a wage during training and progressing to routes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old for interstate routes (18 for intrastate where applicable).
• Valid driver’s license held continuously for at least 3 years with clean record.
• Able to pass background check, DOT pre-employment drug screen, and FMCSA Clearinghouse query.
• Willingness to sign the Trulite training service agreement.

Responsibilities

• Navigate a four-phase trainee program including selection, CDL training, apprenticeship, and full driver status.
• Participate in CDL training with classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel driving.
• Engage in supervised ride-alongs and local delivery routes with a driver mentor.
• Upon completion, independently operate a Class A tractor-trailer to deliver glass and aluminum products.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Driver Trainee, you'll move through Trulite's four-phase program:

• Application & Selection:HR screening, MVR/background review, DOT physical, and FMCSA Clearinghouse query
• CDL Training:classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel driving, DOT compliance, glass-specific load securement, and CDL skills testing through an approved partner driving school
• Driver Apprenticeship:supervised ride-along and local delivery routes with an assigned driver mentor, progressively increasing responsibility, and formal checkpoints at 30 and 60 days
• Full Driver Status:independent route assignment safely operating a Class A tractor-trailer to deliver glass and aluminum products

SKILLS YOU BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age 21 for interstate routes (18 permitted for intrastate-only roles, where applicable)
• Valid driver's license held continuously for at least 3 years, with no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years, and no DUI, reckless driving, or license suspension on record
• Able to pass a background check, DOT pre-employment drug screen, and FMCSA Clearinghouse query
• Willingness to sign the Trulite training service agreement
