Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Driver/Technician Level 1 for Sacramento, CA. You will safely deliver and pick-up welding equipment, maintain DOT docs, and support shop operations while ensuring excellent customer service.

The role requires a 21+ year old candidate with a valid Class A CDL (1+ year driving) or recent FMCSA-certified graduate, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. Heatlhcare, retirement and time-off benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of driving experience or be an entry-level driver from a certified FMCSA-registered school.
• Ability to make critical decisions following procedures.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with diverse teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and coordinate welding equipment, parts, and supplies with clear communication.
• Maintain a safe working environment and conduct pre-trip fleet safety inspections.
• Manage DOT documentation: driver logs, trip reports, monthly fuel tax reports.
• Support shop operations by coordinating with technical team and keeping an organized workspace.
• Provide equipment operation guidance to customers and explain procedures clearly.
• Adapt to changing schedules to meet team and customer goals.
