Job summary

U.S. Multimodal Group is hiring for regional truck driving roles in Kansas City, MO. The driver will operate a semi-truck under DOT rules, handle pickup/delivery of ocean containers, and maintain logs and manifests daily.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL A, have or obtain HazMat/Tanker endorsements within 90 days, and pass safety screenings, with a clean MVR and no major convictions. Excellent communication and smartphone use are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Pickup and deliver ocean containers, verify loads/empties, and follow instructions.
• Maintain dispatch logs and DVIR reports; report damages or violations to Manager.
• Complete and verify dispatch manifests daily.

Terminal Consolidation Company is a subsidiary of USMMG and is hiring drivers for the Kansas City, MO location.

• Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL
  
• Need to either have Haz Mat and Tanker endorsements or willing to get them within 90 days.
• Meet I-9 requirements
• Must have safe and clean MVR with no major convictions
  
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations
• Ability to read, speak and write the English language in accordance with DOT regulations
• Ability to perform functions of job description
  
• Must pass background screen, DOT drug screen (No prior positive or controlled substance tests at previous employers, No alcohol or control substance refusals at prior employers) and DOT physical examination with a minimum expiration of one year.
• Pass Company road test
• Interpersonal skills with ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points
• Proficient with smartphones

Responsibilities:

• Operates a semi-truck according to all applicable state and federal transportation laws
• Pick-up and delivery of ocean containers, verify loads/empties for accuracy and deliver as instructed
• Maintain truck maintenance logs; comply with all safe work practices, policies at all times. Report damage, defects accidents, traffic violations to Manager by completing DVIR and pre-trip on tractors
• Complete and verify accuracy of dispatch manifest to be turned daily
