PAY RATE: $21.30 per hour

POSITION: CLASS A DRIVER (PRODUCTION ASSISTANT 2)

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Following daily routing directions and adhering to routes unless directed otherwise by the supervisor.
  • Managing time effectively to complete routes within the scheduled work hours.
  • Safely loading and unloading trucks, assisting with other trucks as needed.
  • Handling donations safely, using proper procedures and protective equipment.
  • Training and supervising a truck helper, setting a good example in work habits.
  • Completing pre- and post-trip vehicle checks daily, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Representing The Salvation Army courteously, providing excellent customer service.
  • Reporting accidents, injuries, or property damage immediately.
  • Complying with DOT regulations and local laws, maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Following all safety procedures and reporting violations.
  • Adhering to legal and company policies regarding meal and rest breaks.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate electronic route information equipment
  • Good communication skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects
  • Ability to operate a vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Perform repetitive tasks as needed

Schedule:

Work hours are flexible and determined by management to ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
