Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Houston, TX is seeking a customer-focused driver with a Class A license to operate up to 53ft trucks. You will collect medical waste containers from healthcare locations and deliver excellent service daily.

Requirements include a clean driving record, VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD, 3+ years of experience, and DOT compliance knowledge. The role offers steady hours Monday–Friday, with potential overtime, and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!

Responsibilities

• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!
