Today, QCD has over 17,000 deliveries a week from 20+ strategically located Distribution Centers.
Position Summary (Job Description):
Performs daily transportation functions as directed by the Supervisor. Operates diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination trucks to transport and deliver products. Drives trucks to destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicles in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways. Inspects trucks for defects before and after trips and submits reports indicating truck conditions.
Maintains driver logs according to DOT regulations and other federal and company-required records/logs.
May be required to perform product backhaul when returning from dispatched routes. Unloads/loads product at stores with assistance from store personnel.

30 - Drives to predetermined store locations per route schedule, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and vehicle maneuvering skills.
5 - Maintains driver logs, trip, and mileage records according to FMCSA regulations, ensuring compliance with all DOT rules regarding hours of service, licensing, safety, and equipment operation.
2 - Maintain company quality and performance standards.
1 - Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor.
1 - Observe company safety rules and regulations.
5 - Practice good housekeeping.
5 - Position/check load securing equipment to secure cargo during transit. Inspect vehicles for defects before, during, and after trips, and submit reports indicating equipment condition.
1 - Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required of this Position:
Must possess a valid driver's license and a current DOT Medical certification card. One (1) year of tractor-trailer driving experience is required. Must effectively communicate to maintain positive relations with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors. Capable of standing, walking, and repeatedly climbing into and out of trucks. Must be able to work all necessary schedules, including holidays and weekends. Ability to operate equipment safely in extreme weather conditions and in cold environments (cooler/freezer). Must be able to frequently lift/carry cases ranging from 5-50 pounds.
