Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused driver to join our NEW Salt Lake City location in Salt Lake City, UT. The role requires a Class A license, clean driving record, and a Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain one.

You will help establish and lead a team of drivers while delivering medical waste safely and on schedule. We offer stable hours, potential overtime, and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record and valid medical card.
• Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• 3 years of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs with occasional 50–75 lbs and push/pull 100–250 lbs.
• Willingness to work full-time hours (~40/week) and provide strong customer service.
• Registered with DACH.
• Proven longevity in past employment and on-time delivery.
• Ability to train and lead new drivers.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a team of drivers at the NEW Salt Lake City location.
• Assist Transport Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of driving team.
• Train new drivers and ensure safe collection, delivery, and storage of medical waste.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
• Safely operate straight trucks and tractors (up to 26–53 ft) and meet delivery schedules.
• Load/unload and organize truck per schedule; manage route per leadership direction.
• Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and perform roadside inspections.
• Maintain high safety standards and perform necessary PPE protocols.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Salt Lake City, UT area.

The Driver Lead will help to establish and lead a team of drivers in our NEW Salt Lake City location. This is an excellent opportunity for a driver looking to expand their skillset and further their career.

What will your job involve?

• Helping to establish and lead a team of drivers in our NEW Salt Lake City location!
• Assist Transport Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of driving team
• Train new drivers
• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting!

What are we looking for?

• Class A license with a clean driving record and valid medical card
• Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain required
• Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs
• Pushing/or pulling of 100-250 lbs, as applicable to the role
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• 3 years of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
• Registered with DACH
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices!
