JERGENSEN CONSTRUCTION INC is seeking an Equipment Operator / Class A Driver for heavy construction and public works in California. This role blends over-the-road transport with on-site equipment operation on government infrastructure projects, requiring vigilance, reliability, and a strong safety mindset.

Daily duties include mobilizing heavy machinery at early hours, loading and transporting materials, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and coordinating with site superintendents to keep

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator or commercial truck driver.
• Valid Class A CDL with a completely clean driving history and zero accidents.
• Willingness to perform both heavy equipment operation and commercial driving duties.
• Strong background handling site logistics, material transport, and early morning machinery mobilization.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize heavy machinery and construction supplies to active jobsites during very early morning hours.
• Load commercial trucks safely with dirt, aggregate materials, and heavy equipment.
• Operate a diverse fleet of construction equipment and tractors to support multi‑trade field crews.
• Perform material pickups from regional suppliers and vendors to maintain strict daily timelines.
• Transition between driving commercial transport vehicles and operating on‑site machinery.
• Execute pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to uphold zero‑accident safety standards.
• Collaborate with site superintendents and foremen to streamline daily project logistics.
