Our trusted reputation is built on high-quality products, excellent service, and a deep commitment to our customers.

In this full-time role, you’ll operate Class A commercial vehicles—including tractor-trailers and flatbeds—on a night transfer route from Santa Ana to Bakersfield (7:00 PM – 3:30 AM). Overtime opportunities may be available.

Responsibilities

Class A Drivers are tasked with safely operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to various destinations. They are required to comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations, as well as adhere to company policies to ensure efficient and safe operations. Core duties include:

  • Route Planning: Strategically plan delivery routes, taking into account traffic, weather, and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical or safety issues, ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy.
  • Communication: Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules, adjust for changes, and provide updates as needed.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation, ensuring all records are compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to hours-of-service regulations, taking required breaks to ensure compliance with safety standards and avoid fatigue-related risks.
  • Vehicle Security: Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo are properly secured and safe for operation at all times.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to ensure vehicles remain in optimal operating condition.
  • Vehicle Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out, to uphold a professional appearance and ensure safety.

A successful Class A Driver should demonstrate a clean driving record, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects as required.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, though a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge for successful job performance will qualify.
  • Must possess a valid California Class A Driver’s license with a "T" endorsement (doubles, triples, tankers), Manual Transmission Experience, and be at least 21 years of age.
  • A clean driving record is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Medical Certification Clearance Card, FMSC Clearinghouse registration, and clean driving record required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience operating Class A vehicles and/or relevant training, with previous delivery experience in wholesale products and warehouse environments strongly preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of driving laws, regulations, adherence to speed limits, and familiarity with procedures in the event of an accident, either in the warehouse or while driving.
  • Ability to perform long hours of driving, as well as moving and heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work a five-day work week with flexibility for overtime, as needed.
  • Basic English proficiency for reading, writing, and oral communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to sequence tasks effectively (e.g., by size, alphabetically, or numerically) and group similar items together.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
