Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA in Philadelphia seeks a professional Driver who safely operates a Class A tractor-trailer, performs pre-trip inspections, and delivers goods locally and long-distance to customers. You will maintain logs, ensure safety, and provide excellent customer service while complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Clean driving record according to fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate various commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Must pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
