POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and drive different types of trucks, including tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• At least 2 years of previous experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and 7-year background check, including employment verification, criminal history, and motor vehicle review.
• Ability to verify and maintain accurate daily records.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lbs. (recycling containers).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Extensive use of hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak, and hear. Regular sitting on a powered industrial truck.
• Lift up to fifty pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
• Good sense of balance and good eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
• Work environment is usually loud.
