Job summary

Horwitz is seeking a Class A CDL driver, warehouse associate to support our delivery team in Minnesota. The role focuses on safe loading, timely deliveries, and accurate paperwork while upholding our safety standards and customer service commitments.

You will operate stake trucks and trailers, perform pre-trip inspections, and collaborate with site teams to ensure on-time, safe deliveries with attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Order & Fab Delivery (operating stake trucks, pickups, and gooseneck trailers).
• Obey traffic laws and follow established procedures.
• Deliver materials or coordinate deliveries as directed.
• Verify contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections of truck and trailer.
• Load and unload cargo with proper securing methods.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and driving hours.
• Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Class A Driver, Warehouse

The Class A Driver, Warehouse position is an important role within our delivery team. It supports job sites through tool, equipment, and material deliveries as well as general warehouse operations. This role involves securing loads properly, following delivery schedules and instructions, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Order & Fab Delivery (includes operating stake trucks, pickups, and gooseneck trailers)
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Deliver materials or coordinate deliveries as directed.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform routine inspections of the truck and trailer, checking for any mechanical issues, tire wear, and ensuring all lights, brakes, and equipment are in working order.
• Load and Unload Cargo: Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent shifting or damage during transport. Follow all safety procedures for securing loads, including using chains, straps, and tarps.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driving hours, and vehicle inspections. Complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during pick-ups and deliveries, including professional communication with clients and adherence to scheduled delivery times.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
