Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled driver to deliver exceptional service by ensuring timely and safe transport of goods.

Responsibilities

1. Drive trucks to various destinations, approximately 15-20 stops daily.
2. Maintain physical security of cargo to prevent shifting and damage; prioritize safety.
3. Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
4. Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
5. Transport items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from multiple locations for shipment.
6. Communicate with supervisor or dispatch for pick-up and delivery instructions.
7. Prepare receipts and collect payments for delivered goods and charges when required.
8. Load and unload trucks.
9. Verify products and quantities upon pickup/delivery for accuracy.
10. Operate auxiliary equipment mounted on trucks, such as hydraulics and hoists.
11. Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
12. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins as per predetermined sequences.
13. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or tools.
14. Record materials received or distributed and use computers for record entry.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write short correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as algebraic formulas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred but not required.
