Job summary

US Foods in Williston, ND seeks a Delivery Driver to safely drive trucks to customers and meet delivery times. You will unload products, verify deliveries with customers, and handle collections when applicable.

Requirements include a CDL Class A with DOT qualifications, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and at least 21 years old with fluent English. Benefits start Day One, and overtime is available.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a CDL Class A with DOT qualifications.
  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  • Minimum six months of CDL driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times.
  • Unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack or by hand and place in customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures.
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
  • Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and post-trip checks.

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday
  • 4 days per week
  • No Weekend Work
  • 2:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m. start time - until work is finished
  • Eligible for $10,000.00 retention bonus paid out over one year!

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
Main Ingredients of the Job
  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
What You Bring to the Table
  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $34.61 and $36.10.

The Delivery Driver role starts at $35.13 per hour.

This role is eligible for overtime compensation.

Additional Requirements

Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation. All Drivers are required to the Clearinghouse website and register to the new database. The Clearinghouse is a secure online database that provides real‑time information about commercial driver’s license (CDL) and commercial learner's permit (CLP) holders’ drug and alcohol program violations. If you have not registered to the FMCSA database, please note registration is required.
