Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Thorofare, NJ is seeking an experienced truck driver with a Class A CDL to join our transportation team. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, handle loading and unloading, and ensure compliance with DOT safety standards.

The role involves operating a 53’ tractor trailer, using forklifts and pallet jacks as needed, and occasionally assisting in shipping. Overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours; home daily with rare overnight runs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with active DOT Medical Card.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Willing to assist in shipping or other departments as needed.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $28.00 - $32.00 Hourly

Job Category: Transportation

Shift and Payrate

Start: 2am-3am, 8 to 10 hour days, small potential of a single overnight run, otherwise home daily

Payrate: $28-$32 per hour, based on experience and job duties

OT: 1.5x after 8 hours

General Duties

• Perform pre and post trip inspection on 53' tractor trailer
• Quality checks on finished product prior to delivery
• Load, transport, and unload finished goods at customers instruction
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed
• Keep the truck and work areas clean and organized
• Adhere to DOT compliance and safety rules

Requirements And NoticeRequirements

• Class A CDL and valid DOT Medical Card
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Mostly bump-dock but will participate in deliveries by unloading to customers specifications as needed
• In rare event of short route must be willing to assist in shipping or similar departments

Physical Requirements

• Bend, twist, squat or stoop throughout the day
