Driver Mentor

Job summary

GEX Transport is hiring a Trainee driver with a Class A CDL. This paid over-the-road training comes with a Driver Mentor and planned home time of two weeks on the road and two days at home. Expect weekly earnings between $1,300 and $1,500 and ample miles (2500–3200 per week).

New recruits will begin with inspections, logs, and safety-focused duties, progressing to full OTR operation. Applicants should be at least 21, possess CDL A, complete CDL school (120 hours), and have a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CDL Class A license
• CDL school certificate with at least 120 hours of instruction
• Clean MVR and no background issues
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening

Responsibilities

• Complete all required inspections.
• Deliver freight safely and on schedule.
• Operate a Class A tractor trailer on long haul routes.
• Maintain accurate logs and trip paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and driver managers.
