Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver stationed near Appleton, Wisconsin, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The role supports a home- every-weekend schedule and includes training on equipment, with multiple routes across multiple states.

You will operate safe, well-maintained trucks, receive paid training, and be part of a safety-driven team. Benefits begin after 30 days, including health coverage and PTO, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background check including last 3 years of records.
• Must pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Must hold a Class A CDL with endorsements for the position.
• 3 options for driving experience: 9 months in 3 years, 2 years in 5 years, or 5 years in 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and Ryder policies.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate logs/records.
• Load/unload freight or assist customer as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details

• Will Domicile to nearest Ryder shop to your home if you live outside of Appleton, WI.
• Deliver SOLOTo: WI, MN, North & South Dakota, KS, IA, MO, MI, OH, KY, NE, IL, & IN
• Route: Home Every Weekend
• Tractor Type: Sleeper
• TrailerType: Dry Van & Conestoga
• Cannot accept an auto-only restriction
• Equipment: Pallet Jack
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Touch – Pallet and Piece Unloading

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
