Class A CDL Truck Driver (Heavy Haul/Girder Driver) - County Prestress & Precast, LLC (Manufacturing)

We are seeking a Girder Driver for our customer, County Prestress & Precast, LLC, in Salem, Illinois. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties:

1. Demonstrate customer service while interfacing with clients.
2. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices.
3. Properly secure load prior to transport following DOT regulations.
4. Operate tractor-trailer combinations.
5. Transport product while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
6. Perform duties consistent with all safety policies, including utilizing proper PPE.
7. Participate in loading and unloading of girders.
8. Perform route surveys prior to delivery.
9. Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition for assigned tractor.
10. Receive work assignments and report back on job completion.
11. Use consistent communication with dispatcher.
12. Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner.

Work Environment:

• Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Work near moving machinery and equipment.
• Work in a noisy environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing.
• Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds.
• Squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending.
• Pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High school education (or equivalent).
• Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire.
• 2-4 years of Class A CDL driving experience required.
• Endorsement for doubles and triples required.

This position of Girder Driver may be assigned to a contract carrier entity of which County Materials Corp. has no ownership or management authority over.
