CDL Truck Driver (Class A) – Pittsburgh, PA

Hood Distribution is seeking a CDL Truck Driver (Class A) to work out of our Cabinet Shop located in Carnegie, PA. This transfer driver position includes 1-2 overnight stays per week with a $60.00 per diem per night.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver lumber and building materials to cabinet/millwork shops and lumber dealers.
• Follow dispatcher and logistics directions, ensuring all deliveries are accurate and timely.
• Assist customers with unloading trucks as needed.
• Ensure all delivered materials are properly loaded and securely fastened in accordance with company standards.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the warehouse when no delivery is scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid State’s CDL Class A Driver’s License.
• Clean or good driving record.
• Prior tarping experience related to truck deliveries.
• Familiarity with forklift operation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional and customer‑oriented attitude.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $27.00 – $28.00 per hour plus $60.00 per night per diem for overnight stays.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, cancer, life insurance, 401(k), LTD, FSA, EAP, PTO, and holidays, available beginning the month following one month of continuous full-time employment.
