Job summary

Bakelite is seeking a CDL A tanker driver to safely operate a tanker to customer and supplier locations, deliver chemical products per SOPs, and maintain DOT compliance. The role emphasizes customer service and safe material handling in a regulated environment.

The position requires a clean driving record, HazMat and Tanker endorsements, a DOT Medical Card, and tolerance for varying schedules including weekends and holidays. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL Class A.
• At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• No more than 1 chargeable accident in the past year.
• No more than 1 moving violation in the past year.
• Must have Tanker Endorsement, HazMat Endorsement and DOT Medical Card by hire date.
• Must comply with clean-shaven guidelines for respirator use.
• Experience operating manual transmission.

What You’ll Do (A typical day includes):

• Adhering to Bakelite and DOT safety regulations at all times.
• Maintaining a clean driving record and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Safely loading and off‑loading chemical materials.
• Working schedules that may include variable start times, weekends, and holidays in compliance with DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• 1+ years hauling Cargo Tank trailers.
• Experience with hazardous materials.
