Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm, seeks a Class A CDL Tanker Driver for the Greater Austin, TX team. You will safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, perform vehicle inspections, maintain digital logs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Operations Director and is based on-site at a client location in Taylor, TX. Strong safety culture, team collaboration, and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 1–3+ years of tanker driving experience is preferred.
• Must pass DOT/regulated screenings (MV record, background, pre-employment physical, drug screen).
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work flexible hours with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tankers, vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and box trucks, in compliance with regulations.
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to disposal/recycling facilities.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours and vehicle status per DOT rules.
• Complete manifest paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with loading/unloading and secure loads properly.
• Participate in ongoing safety training and development.

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Class A CDL Tanker Driver for our Greater Austin, TX team. You will safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials to various locations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

This highly motivated & safety-first individual will be responsible for operating Class A commercial vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate digital logs, and adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tankers, vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and box trucks, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
  
• Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following all applicable DOT regulations.
  
• Complete all required manifest paperwork and documentation accurately.
  
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
  
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed.
  
• Properly secure load to ensure safe & compliant transportation of materials.
  
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain industry knowledge and skills.

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Valid ClassA Commercial Driver's License.
  
• 1-3+ years tanker driving experience.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
  
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
  
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
  
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week.
  
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis.
• The Driver position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste andresponsible for taking on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
  
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements:

• Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is required.
• Previous experience in environmental services or related field.
