Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a Semi Driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle, pick up raw materials, and maintain strong customer relations at the Pocahontas facility.

The role requires a current CDL Class A with a clean MVR; tanker endorsement is a plus. You will follow DOT hours of service, perform safety checks, complete required paperwork, and adhere to all company policies and safety rules. Shift: Mon-Fri, starts 6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Registered on FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Drive established route to pick up raw materials and weigh in/out at locations.
• Ensure loads are tarped and the vehicle is kept clean at all times.
• Conduct safety checks and operate within state, federal and company policies.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain DOT logs and forms.
• Maintain daily vehicle condition reports and hours-of-service records.
• Represent the company with professional appearance and customer relations.

Job Summary

The Semi Driver is responsible for operation of commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service for our Pocahontas Facility.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Start Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm; 10 - 12 hours per shift

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Run established route; pick up raw materials; weigh in raw material when returning to plant and weigh in and out of customer location as needed.
• Responsible for ensuring loads are tarped before leaving plant or customer location; maintain cleanliness at customer locations.
• Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
• Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
• Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
• Maintain DOT hours of service with onboard computer in accordance with company policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be current CDL Class A holder with clean MVR. Tanker endorsement a plus
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

• 2 Years experience preferred
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Dependable; reliable
• Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.

Physical Demands

• Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently required to reach up with both arms in securing tarps, etc.
