Meadow Gold Dairy, part of DFA, is hiring CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely operate tractor-trailers and unload/deliver dairy products on assigned routes. Drivers build customer relationships with a positive attitude and are home nightly on specified schedules.

The position offers competitive pay at $26.87/hr, with benefits including paid vacation/holidays, opportunities for growth, uniforms, and more. Schedule is Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri 1:00 AM start; Tue/Sat/Sun off.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• 21+ years of age and able to pass pre-employment screens.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT/DFA rules and safety practices.
• Deliver products according to route schedule; place deliveries as required.
• Report delivery delays to management due to conditions or incidents.
• Load/unload and stock products as needed per route design.
• Maintain good customer relations and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and keep the truck clean.
• Complete daily paperwork and logs per policy and DOT guidelines.
• Attend driver workshops and use company systems properly.

Meadow Gold Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various Dairy products, to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices
• Deliver products or assets according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely manner. Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel
• Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents or breakdowns
• Based on route design, load and unload product as required at designated stops (2-wheel cart and/or pallet jacket); may include stocking and ordering of product (varies from route to route)
• Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers and report any problems to the driver supervisor or manager
• Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used (tires, fuel, oil check, etc.) and maintain a clean vehicle
• Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day. Maintain all log and trip records according to company policy and DOT guidelines
• Perform load inventory and document condition of freight before departure
• Attend all driver workshops and training sessions
• Use company supported applications or systems properly
• Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times during interactions with customers or other individuals

Requirements

• 6 months related experience preferred
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks)
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to push, pull, & lift to 55 lbs.
• Flexibility – overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
