Job Description

Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We use safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong together, capable of getting things done.

Equipment

• 2022 or newer Volvo 760 trucks, automatic transmission
• Ergonomically designed seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, built-in refrigerators
• Auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat-screen TV mount, satellite radios
• Right way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges
• On-site repair facility, wash bay

Pay

Starting at 0.55-0.58 CPM, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layovers, and other factors. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. No holdbacks.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after 12-14 days out. Some routes allow longer stays with up to 4 days off, based on agreement. Home time needs are communicated prior to hiring and honored accordingly. Flexibility for special events is available.

Loads & Routes

Most freight originates in Missouri, with over half being drop-and-hook. The fleet transports dry van and reefer loads, mostly on major highways in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no ports, no borders, no west of Denver, no forced dispatch.

Additional Policies

• Rider policy: 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1
• Canine policy: $500 fee per pet, with weekly deductions until paid off; no policy for cats, reptiles, or birds
