About Climate Express

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. We operate with 200 company drivers who help supply families nationwide with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, ensuring high miles, consistent paychecks, and reliable home time. We are a team committed to getting things done together.

Equipment

Our trucks are 2022 or newer Volvo 760 models, automatic, with ergonomic seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletops, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with built-in manual inverters (3500W), dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales, and access to Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. Maintenance is handled on-site, with wash bays available for truck and trailer washes.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $0.55 to $0.58 per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays for detention, layovers, and other factors are determined per load and driver hours. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold period.

Home Time

Drivers typically get two full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may have longer stretches out and receive up to four days off, with home time agreed upon prior to employment and honored accordingly. Special requests for additional days are accommodated when possible.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The freight is primarily dry van and reefer loads, mostly in the US middle corridor, avoiding New York City, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Routes are mostly contracted, with no dedicated routes, utilizing major highways and Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Benefits

Company contributions cover medical and dental insurance, with free vision and life insurance. Paid vacations and a 401K plan with employer matching are available.

Additional Policies
  • Rider Policy: One passenger aged 12 or older, available from day one.
  • Canine Policy: $500 fee per pet, with options for two small or one large dog. Deduction of $100 weekly until paid, non-refundable once the pet is placed in the truck. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
Requirements

At least one year of recent tractor-trailer experience, no more than three moving violations in the past three years. Veterans and women are encouraged to apply; we are a second-chance employer.
