Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We use safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together, we can get things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 trucks, automatic transmission. Features include ergonomic seats, perfect steering position, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerator, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right-way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site maintenance and wash bay facilities are available.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cents per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and other load-specific compensations. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some areas may allow longer stays with up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon prior to hiring and can be adjusted for special events or appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van and reefer trailers, mainly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Freight is primarily contracted, with no dedicated routes.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger 12 years or older is permitted from day one. Pets: $500 fee per pet, with a deduction of $100 weekly until paid off. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
