Job Description

A moving company is seeking Class A CDL and Non-CDL Drivers to transport and assist in loading and unloading products into and out of trucks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job Duties:

1. Drive a 26’ box truck
2. Pick up and safely transport goods, ensuring contents are properly secured
3. Perform inspections of the vehicle prior to and after each trip
4. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
5. Obey all traffic laws and adapt driving to weather and road conditions
6. Communicate with dispatch as needed
7. Load and unload vehicles manually or using a hand truck or dolly
8. Keep the vehicle clean and prioritize safety at all times

Qualifications:

• At least two years of commercial driving experience
• Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly
• Capability to handle difficult or emotional customer situations and respond quickly to needs and requests
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds
• Work boots
• Ability to follow all policies and procedures
• Valid driver’s license, clean record, DOT Card, good sense of direction, and proficiency with GPS or routing systems
• Polite, friendly personality with a neat appearance
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
