Physical Requirements

This is a highly physical and labor-intensive position.

• Driver unloads freight onto conveyor systems or roller ramps
• Freight is stacked floor-to-ceiling inside trailers
• Average 50 to 300 boxes unloaded per stop
• Average 500 to 700 boxes unloaded per trailer
• Box weights range from 2 to 100 pounds
• Typical box weight ranges between 30 and 60 pounds
• Occasional use of a pallet jack for palletized freight

Schedule

• Home every night

• Customer may require occasional six-day work weeks during peak periods
