Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a CDL-A Local Driver in Austin, TX for a local route with a pay rate of $27.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday – Thursday, with possible weekend work; days or nights. Slip seating and back-to-dock unloading required, with totes and cameras on trucks.

Operate Class A dry van, drop & hook or live unload, and shuttle freight between warehouses. About 4 turns per day, steady work and weekly pay on a reputable team.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL-A license.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR.
• 9 months of Class A experience in past 3 years.
• No DUI, reckless driving or serious violations in past 5 years.
• Backing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A dry van trucks in the Austin area.
• Back into docks for unloading; no-touch freight where applicable.
• Drop and hook or live unload; stage freight between shifts.
• Run loads between warehouses; average ~4 turns per day.
• Slip seating on the fleet; trucks equipped with cameras.
• Follow no-smoking policy; wear steel-toe boots.

Now hiring for a Class A CDL Local Driver
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (possible weekends) | DaysOR Nights

What You’ll Do:

• Vehicle: Class A Dry van
• Freight: Auto parts | No touch | Drop and hook or live unload | Stage freight between shifts
• Seeking drivers interested in long-term employment with a stable, reputable organization
• Must have strong backing skills; drivers will be required to back into the docks for unloading
• Slip seating required
• Equipment includes International and Freightliner day cab trucks with automatic transmissions
• Drivers will run loads between warehouses
• Average of approximately 4 turns per day
• Trucks are equipped with web cameras
• No smoking policy
• Steel-toe boots required

Requirements:

• 22+ years of age
• Valid CDL-A license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• 9 months of Class A experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)
