Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions, Inc. seeks safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers to transfer freight between Denver terminals. This role is home daily with weekends off, starting at 10pm, Monday through Friday. You will hook and unhook trailers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and complete DOT paperwork.

Route runs from Denver, CO to Villa Grove, CO with a strong work-life balance. Hazmat/Tankers endorsements are required or willingness to obtain; pre-employment assessment applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: Valid Class A CDL, 1 year of commercial driving experience, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain, age 21+, clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipment.
• Operate tractor-trailer for long distances.

PAY: Flat Rate $342.30 daily + $5,000 sign on bonus!

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
