Responsibilities

As a Skilled CLASS A CDL Laborer/Groundman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right, being the best, and you're up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

• Perform manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading materials, and preparing job sites with hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks.
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily.
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems.
• Troubleshoot problems in the field.
• Learn and train to operate various tools and equipment.

Qualifications

About You:

• Prioritize safety in your daily tasks.
• Have a track record of completing quality work.
• Enjoy solving problems and taking a hands-on approach.
• Seek long-term projects.
• Like working with your team and getting your hands dirty.
• Possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Interested in learning telecom construction trades such as Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, etc.
• Want to make an impact in your community and be home daily.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $26-29/hour based on experience.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours over 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week, per California law.
• Paid rest and unpaid meal breaks as per law.
• Employment is at-will; either party may terminate at any time.
• Full-time hours, varying by project needs.
