Job summary

CarMax, Oceanside, California is seeking a Fleet Driver to move vehicles between stores, auctions, vendors, and logistics hubs. You’ll contribute to on-time deliveries, inventory flow, and customer satisfaction while upholding safety, reliability, and integrity in every mile.

You will operate a 10-speed transmission, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate DOT logs, and represent CarMax professionally.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 2+ years of CMV driving experience.
• No preventable safety incidents in the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport, and offload vehicles between stores, auctions, vendors, and logistics hubs.
• Ensure timely delivery of vehicles to maintain inventory flow and customer satisfaction.
• Operate equipment safely, keep truck and trailer clean and well-maintained.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation.
• Represent CarMax professionally with vendors, store staff, and the public.
• Follow all company and federal safety regulations to minimize risk.
