Job summary

J and M Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver to support civil site and utilities contracting across central and southwest Virginia. The candidate must be motivated, hard-working, and willing to do the hands-on tasks required to complete projects.

Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic repairs as per the Truck Driver’s Handbook.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license.
• Previous dump truck experience required.
• Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
• Willing to work Saturdays and travel within central/south Virginia.

J and M Infrastructure is a Civil-Site & Utilities Contractor, who excels in Civil Construction and Site Development Contracting, with an emphasis on Utilities and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer, storm drainage, throughout central and southwest Virginia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver. This candidate must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, possess a positive can-do attitude, willing to get hands dirty and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to drive manual transmission
• Must drive dump truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
• Must be able to make daily pre / post-trip inspections on assigned vehicle in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions including checking for damaged work parts or for any signs of tampering
• Must be able to comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver’s Handbook
• Must be a Virginia resident
• Must be a leader who is looking to grow
• Must pass drug and background screening
• Must be available to work Saturdays
• Valid CDL Class A commercial driver’s license required
• Previous dump truck experience is required
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
• Familiarity of roads in the area is preferred
