Job summary

Werner Electric Supply Company in Wisconsin is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to support regional distribution by receiving, storing, and distributing materials. You’ll deliver to Werner branches and customer job sites within Wisconsin, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an evening shift.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, operating forklifts or pallet jacks, and assisting in warehouse tasks as needed. We offer competitive pay, training, and a merit-based progression path.

Summary:

Support Werner's customers through operations in our Regional Distribution Center by receiving, storing, and distributing materials. Support Werner's CDL drivers by delivering product to branch locations as needed or directly to jobsites in the state of Wisconsin.

• Monday - Friday work schedule
• Hours 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM
• Local Route

Minimum Requirements

• Prior experience in driving a motor vehicle.
• Maintain valid driver's license with Class A CDL
• Clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Ability to learn and use MS Outlook
• Professional written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• HS Diploma or higher
• Previous working experience in delivery, transportation, distribution, warehousing, or customers
• 1-3 years previous driving experience with Class A CDL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive box truck or tractor trailer to deliver products to Werner locations and/or customer's job site.
• Load and unload truck or trailer, utilizing equipment as needed (forklift, pallet jack).
• Sort and distribute transfer materials into appropriate order for delivery.
• Safely consolidate product to load trailer effectively, including stacking/wrapping pallets and engaging load bars.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and coordinate necessary routine maintenance with leasing company.
• May assist with other warehouse tasks to fill hours in-between driving.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard. Employee is required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must frequently move up to 25 pounds, regularly move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds. The employee is regularly required to travel (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation) and frequently performs work on-site at construction work sites. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently. The employee is required to be able to effectively communicate while on the job floor/ job site and throughout the completion of duties.

The working conditions of this positionrequires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/aridconditions. Employee is required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials/ elements. Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and/ or weekends.
