Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our Raleigh, NC team. You will transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials and ensure compliance with all regulations. The role reports to the Transportation Manager and operates Sunday through Thursday.

You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain digital logs, and participate in ongoing safety training. The position may require overnight travel and occasional on-call duties as part of emergency response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.
• Must comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles including tractors, tankers, roll-offs, and box trucks.
• Rotate on-call as part of the Emergency Response team (optional).
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safe operation.
• Maintain digital logs and comply with DOT regulations.
• Complete manifest paperwork accurately and timely.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Secure loads for safe transportation.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain industry knowledge.
• Travel overnight on routes lasting two or more days.

Class A CDL Driver (Sunday-Thursday)

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our Raleigh, NC team. You will safely transport hazardous and non‑hazardous materials to various locations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

This highly motivated & safety‑first individual will be responsible for operating Class A commercial vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate digital logs, and adhering to safety policies and procedures.

This position reports to our Transportation Manager. This role is based in Raleigh, NC. The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including but not limited to tractor trailers, tankers, roll-offs, and box trucks, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Rotating on‑call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team (optional).
• Transport hazardous and non‑hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following all applicable DOT regulations.
• Complete all required manifest paperwork and documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed.
• Properly secure load to ensure safe & compliant transportation of materials.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain industry knowledge and skills.
• Travel overnight as required to complete assigned routes, including trips lasting two or more consecutive days.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Active Hazmat & Tanker endorsement.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis.
• Must be able to travel overnight 2+ days per week.
• The Driver position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for wearing and removing personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety‑sensitive.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements

• Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Previous experience in environmental services or related field.
